Acorn TV’s crime drama series, The Chelsea Detective, makes its free-to-air premiere on U&Drama. Set in London’s affluent Chelsea neighbourhood, the show heads into the dark underbelly of this seemingly picturesque borough.
Deception, violence, greed, and murder lurk beneath the surface, and it’s up to DI Max Arnold (Adrian Scarborough) and DS Priya Shamsie (Sonita Henry) to get at the truth and bring justice, regardless of an individual’s wealth or status.
In the first two episodes, airing Wednesday, September 11, and Thursday, September 12, at 8:00 PM, the detectives investigate the death of stonemason Andrew Knightley, who was pushed under a London Underground train during the morning rush hour.
As they dig into Knightley’s life, they uncover a troubled man who believed he was receiving vengeful Biblical messages from a spirit. However, the killer is very much human, and the truth may lie in the depths of Knightley’s earthly existence.
The Chelsea Detective, The Wages of Sin Parts 1 & 2, airs Wednesday, September 11, and Thursday, September 12 at 8:00 PM on U&Drama.
