The Chi Season 7 Gets Premiere Date on Showtime

Showtime has set the premiere date for the seventh season of its drama series The Chi. The 16-episode season will be available on demand and on streaming for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with Showtime plan starting Friday, May 16, with the linear debut on Sunday, May 18.

Here’s the Lowdown: Season seven sees the women of The Chi taking charge and reclaiming their power. However, shifting allegiances and new rivalries reveal that the fight for dominance will have serious consequences.

What This Means Now: The series is set for a power shift, with the female characters at the forefront. The large cast includes Jacob Latimore, Lynn Whitfield, Yolonda Ross, Shamon Brown Jr., Michael V. Epps, Birgundi Baker and Luke James. The Bigger Picture: The Chi continues to explore life on the South Side of Chicago. Justin Hillian and Jewel Coronel are co-showrunners and executive produce alongside Lena Waithe, Common, and others.
