Chicago P.D.: Water and Honey (NBC, Wednesday October 23, 2024)

“Water and Honey” finds Intelligence wading into a dispute between newcomer Officer Cook (Toya Turner) and her partner. Their disagreement, fueled by a torrential rainstorm and differing opinions on an investigation, tests the limits of their professional relationship.

It’s the kind of everyday conflict that can fester in any workplace, but with potentially higher stakes when guns and badges are involved.

Intelligence, called in to mediate, must sort through the conflicting accounts and bruised egos. Voight (Jason Beghe), never one for subtlety, will likely employ his own brand of conflict resolution, which may or may not involve a few well-placed glares and thinly veiled threats. Will their intervention help or hinder the investigation?

And will the downpour, a frequent motif in the Chicago universe, symbolize anything beyond just bad weather? – or just make everyone’s hair look extra frizzy?
