This Tuesday, “Chopped” serves up a plate of culinary chaos, complete with a “gory” ingredient and a last-minute kitchen meltdown. The appetizer round sounds deceptively simple, featuring peaches and pancetta. But as any “Chopped” fan knows, the simplest ingredients can often lead to the most spectacular failures.

Things take a decidedly darker turn in the entree round, when an unusual – and apparently rather gruesome – pork product makes its way into the baskets. It’s a test of skill, creativity, and perhaps a strong stomach. And just when one finalist thinks they’ve made it through the worst, disaster strikes in the dessert round, threatening to derail their carefully constructed plate.
