Chris Wilson Joins Ensemble Cast of “This Hour Has 22 Minutes” for Season 31 on CBC

Chris Wilson has been promoted to a full-time role in the cast of the long-running Canadian comedy series This Hour Has 22 Minutes. Joining the Canadian Screen Award-winning ensemble, which includes Trent McClellan, ABA Amuquandoh, Stacey McGunnigle, and Mark Critch, Wilson has been featured as a performer and writer on the show for three seasons. The series, known for its biting satire and commentary on politics, culture, and current events, returns for its 31st season on Tuesday, September 19, airing on CBC Gem and CBC TV.
Wilson, a recipient of three Canadian Comedy Awards, has gained recognition for his impressions of various notable figures and characters. His work extends beyond This Hour Has 22 Minutes, with experience as a member of Second City Mainstage in Toronto, performances at prestigious comedy festivals, and appearances on other Canadian comedy shows.
This Hour Has 22 Minutes is filmed in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in front of a live audience at the Light House Arts Centre. The production is helmed by IoM Media, with Mike Allison and Michael Donovan serving as executive producers. Leslee Gill, Carl Gosine, Tracey Jardine, and Dana Landry are the producers. Sally Catto and Trish Williams represent CBC in their respective roles, overseeing the entertainment division and scripted content. Zach Feldberg and Dennis Chan are part of the CBC production team.
