Churchy Gets a Hallelujah! BET+ Renews Comedy for Season 2

Churchy Key Art

BET+ has renewed its hit comedy series, Churchy, for a second season. Created by and starring Kevin Fredericks, Churchy follows the misadventures of Corey Carr Jr. as he builds his own church after being overlooked at his late father’s mega-ministry.

Season 1 saw Corey navigating everything from quirky congregants to unexpected fundraising challenges, all while trying to keep his fledgling church afloat. And if Fredericks’s excitement is anything to go by, Season 2 promises even bigger laughs and bolder adventures.

“A heartfelt thank you to BET for their unwavering support, SpringHill for amazing partnership, and to our incredible audience,” Fredericks shared. “The cast and I can’t wait to bring you even more comedy and a bigger, better show.”

Returning alongside Fredericks are Anthony Elfoniza, Lexi Allen, London Solomon, Mark J.P. Hood, and Shani Shockley. While a premiere date is yet to be announced, fans can anticipate more of Churchy’s signature blend of faith, family, and hilarious mishaps.
