Citadel: Diana Trailer Reveals High-Octane Spy Series

Prime Video has released the official trailer for the spy series “Citadel: Diana”, which will debut globally on October 10th. The Italian series, produced by Cattleya and Amazon MGM Studios, and executive produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO, is part of the expanding “Citadel” universe.

“Citadel: Diana” stars Matilda De Angelis in the lead role, alongside an international cast including Lorenzo Cervasio, Maurizio Lombardi, Julia Piaton, Thekla Reuten, Giordana Faggiano, Daniele Paoloni, Bernhard Schütz, and Filippo Nigro. The series is directed by Arnaldo Catinari and developed by Alessandro Fabbri, who also serves as the head writer.

The show is set in Milan in 2030, eight years after the destruction of the global spy agency Citadel by the enemy syndicate Manticore. It follows undercover Citadel agent Diana Cavalieri, who is trapped behind enemy lines as a mole in Manticore. When she sees a chance to escape, she must trust an unexpected ally, Edo Zani, the heir of Manticore Italy.

“Citadel: Diana” is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Cattleya, with showrunner and executive producer Gina Gardini. Riccardo Tozzi, Marco Chimenz, Giovanni Stabilini, and Emanuele Savoini also serve as executive producers. The series is supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture – Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual.

The “Citadel” franchise, executive produced by AGBO, includes the original series starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, which premiered in 2023 to global success. The franchise features action-espionage series set in various countries, each with its own distinct style and cultural identity.

“Citadel: Diana” is the second series to debut from the “Citadel” world, with “Citadel: Honey Bunny” from India set to follow on November 7th. The second season of the original “Citadel” series is also in production, with Joe Russo directing.
