In “The Baby”, the second episode of this third season of The Cleaner, Wicky (Greg Davies) faces a challenging clean-up task in a shepherd’s hut, which its formidable owner, Lara (Gemma Whelan), urgently needs to be rented out.

He’s under pressure to work efficiently as Lara, who is heavily pregnant, demands nothing less than ruthless precision from her employees. To make matters more complicated, Lara’s gardener, Donald (Steve Pemberton), and her mother, Caroline (Vicki Pepperdine), don’t exactly simplify Wicky’s task.

The hut is covered in what Wicky politely refers to as “honk and plop,” testing his aversion to such substances. Will he be able to overcome his discomfort and complete the job before Lara notices? As Wicky grapples with the mess and the demanding client, he also ponders the validity of the phrase “honk and plop.”
