Filmed in Nashville before a live audience, the “CMA Country Christmas” special looks to capture the energy and the spirit of a traditional country Christmas celebration. The special will also be available to stream the following day on Hulu and Disney+. The enduring appeal of Christmas specials, bolstered by the star power of Grant and Yearwood, should make “CMA Country Christmas” a solid performer in the holiday programming roster. ABC, it should be noted, continues to be the broadcast home for Country Music with both the CMA Awards and “CMA Fest” airing on the network.
