Silence speaks volumes in ITVX’s new crime thriller “Code of Silence,” premiering this Sunday. The series centers on Alison Brooks, a Deaf woman whose sharp lip-reading skills make her an invaluable asset in a high-stakes criminal investigation.
Rose Ayling-Ellis stars as Alison, recruited by DS Ashleigh Francis (Charlotte Ritchie) and DI James Marsh (Andrew Buchan) for a covert operation targeting a dangerous gang planning a major heist. Alison’s task is to infiltrate the gang’s inner circle and gather intelligence, a mission fraught with peril.
As Alison gets closer to her target, she forms an unexpected connection with Liam Barlow (Kieron Moore), a new recruit to the gang. This connection not only complicates the investigation but also puts Alison’s own safety in jeopardy. Torn between her duty to the police and her growing feelings for Liam, she must make choices that could have devastating consequences.
Created and written by Catherine Moulton and directed by Diarmuid Goggins, “Code of Silence” takes a unique approach to the crime drama, exploring the dynamics of communication and deception.
“Code of Silence” premieres Sunday, 18 May at 6:00 AM ET on ITVX.
