Twenty years! Two decades of culinary catastrophes, passive-aggressive compliments, and strategically undercooked potatoes. “Come Dine With Me” is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and this week, the dinner party drama unfolds in Leeds. First up to bat is Shaun, a 38-year-old foster carer and nature lover.
Shaun’s menu, described as “Asia-meets-Yorkshire” fusion, features delights such as dumplings and a decidedly non-traditional take on fish and chips. Will his culinary gamble pay off, or will his guests be left yearning for a good old roast beef? And how will his Yorkshire pudding – which sounds suspiciously like it might involve some sort of soy sauce – go down with the notoriously picky eaters of Leeds?
With £1,000 on the line, the competition is fierce. Tune in to Channel 4 at 5:00 PM on Monday to see if Shaun’s inventive cooking and (presumably) charming personality can win over his guests.
Come Dine With Me airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 5:00 PM.
