Comedian Katherine Ryan Documentary Series “Parental Guidance” for W

Comedian Katherine Ryan’s new documentary series, “Parental Guidance,” explores unconventional parenting techniques and alternative lifestyles. The show will air on UKTV’s channel W and UKTV Play in 2024.

Katherine Ryan: Parental Guidance – New UKTV Documentary Series

Katherine Ryan will be hosting a new documentary series called “Parental Guidance” for UKTV’s channel W and catch-up service UKTV Play. The series, produced by Expectation, will explore unconventional parenting techniques and alternative lifestyles. Ryan will examine whether these methods may benefit her own family life while offering a unique insight into these extreme parenting techniques. The series is set to air in 2024.

The show has been commissioned by Kirsty Hanson and ordered by Adam Collings and Hilary Rosen. It is produced by Expectation, with Lucy Palmer, Ben Wicks, and Amy Dallmeyer serving as executive producers.

This new series will add to W’s lineup of celebrity-led UKTV Originals, including “Gemma and Gorka: Life Behind the Lens” and the return of “Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over.”

In addition to her work on “Parental Guidance,” Ryan has held several roles in comedy, including a travel show with Joe Wilkinson for Channel 4, appearances in “A League of Their Own” and “Never Mind The Buzzcocks,” and hosting her own series, “Backstage with Katherine Ryan,” for Amazon Prime.

Ryan’s extensive career also includes hosting the jewelry-making competition series “All That Glitters,” writing and starring in the Netflix sitcom “The Duchess,” and releasing her own book, “The Audacity.” She is represented by Kitty Laing at United Agents Ltd.
