Contraband Seized at the Airport

Duty calls, and so does the allure of illicit goods. This Monday, Contraband: Seized at the Airport returns with “The Call of Duties,” promising another dose of high-stakes busts and close calls at border control. Forget your typical holiday travel woes; this episode features chessboard chicanery and some seriously questionable customs declarations.

Apparently, 32 pieces just aren’t enough for some chess enthusiasts. This week, Homeland Security officers uncover a particularly crafty smuggling attempt involving chessboards packed with more than just pawns and rooks. What exactly is hidden amongst the fake knights and bishops? Tune in to find out.

Meanwhile, a couple learns the hard way that honesty is indeed the best policy, especially when it comes to customs declarations. Under-declaring the value of their international shopping spree earns them a hefty fine and the confiscation of their prized purchases. Retail therapy gone very, very wrong.

And in a case of “you can’t run, you can’t hide,” two individuals attempting to skirt immigration protocols find themselves face-to-face with the long arm of the law. Their attempts to slip through the cracks prove futile, adding even more drama to the episode’s already tense atmosphere.
