Discovery’s “Contraband: Seized at the Border” returns Monday at 9:00 PM ET/PT with “Arming a Small Army,” taking another look at the cat-and-mouse game between smugglers and border security officials. This episode features a wide range of illicit goods, from firearms hidden amongst sporting equipment to attempts at smuggling live animals.
As officers work to secure the border, we get a look at the creativity, audacity, and sometimes sheer desperation of those trying to bring illegal items into the country. “Arming a Small Army” also examines the less dramatic, but still important, issue of travelers bringing home gifts and souvenirs that run afoul of customs regulations.
