‘The Cook Up with Adam Liaw’ Serves a Star-Studded Week to Mark SBS’s 50th

The Cook Up with Adam Liaw

SBS is marking its 50th anniversary with a celebratory run of The Cook Up with Adam Liaw, rolling out a full week of guest-packed episodes featuring high-profile names from across the network’s food, sport, and entertainment legacy.

The culinary chat show—now in its eighth season—will air five themed episodes next week, Monday through Friday at 7:00 PM on SBS Food, with Adam Liaw at the helm.

Monday’s episode, “Special Broadcasting Suppers,” sees Maeve O’Meara and Mark Olive reunite in the kitchen for a night of nostalgic flavors and SBS storytelling. Tuesday shifts to “Food Goals,” with football legend John Aloisi and Shane Delia cooking up post-game classics and cultural favorites.

Midweek, “Teach Me” welcomes chef Guillaume Brahimi and presenter Lily Serna to swap family recipes and culinary know-how. Thursday’s “Specialist Subjects” episode plays to the strengths of Matthew Evans, Marc Fennell, and Liaw himself as they each dish out their signature expertise.

The week wraps on Friday with “Seafood Spectacular,” starring Peter Kuruvita and Karla Grant, promising fresh coastal flavors and conversation.

Produced by ITV Studios Australia, the series continues to be a cornerstone of SBS Food’s primetime slate. While much of the show’s appeal is rooted in its casual tone and practical recipes, this anniversary week is clearly aimed at reinforcing SBS’s brand through its most recognisable faces.
