Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

On November 22, NBC will air the hourlong special “Countdown to Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade(R)” live at 8 p.m. The special will provide viewers with an all-access look at the Macy’s Parade Studio to see how the famous floats and balloons are created before their journey through the streets of New York. This is the second year in a row that the special will be hosted by Amber Ruffin, who is an Emmy, Tony, and WGA Award nominee and a writer/performer for NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

The “TODAY” anchors Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker will also be part of the celebration, sharing their favorite parade-hosting memories throughout the years. Viewers will get to join a high school marching band on their journey to New York to perform on Thanksgiving morning, as well as meet a parade-loving family traveling cross-country for a front-row seat on Sixth Avenue.
