In the final episode of Country House Auction, newlyweds Tessa and Robin open the doors of their 300-year-old home, Castle Durrow, to host an auction. A range of unique and precious items are up for grabs, each with its own story to tell.

A mysterious pencil sketch by acclaimed artist Sean Keating captures the attention of rival bidders, Helen and David, both wowed by the anonymous couple portrayed. The fate of this enchanting artwork lies in the hands of auctioneer Michael and his hammer.

The episode also features a highly sought-after consignment of 12 bottles of Chateau Lafite Rothschild, one of the world’s most collectible wines. With interest from around the globe, the question arises: will this prized lot stay close to home?

Tom and Mary, owners of Gloster House and self-confessed auction addicts, join the hunt for antique gems to adorn their own 300-year-old residence. Meanwhile, cabinetmaker Kieran contributes to the sale by restoring a classic Victorian Cheval mirror to its former glory.

The auction includes an astonishing 10 works by the celebrated Irish artist Percy French, known for his beautiful watercolours of the Irish countryside and his songwriting talents. Collector Brendan sets his sights on the star lot of this collection, which features the handwritten words to French’s famous ballad, “Where The Mountains of Mourne Sweep Down to the Sea.”
