“Countryfile” gets down and dirty this Sunday with a look at the heart of UK sheep farming: lambing season. It’s a crucial time of year, a high-stakes period that often determines the success of the entire farming calendar. This special episode follows presenters Adam Henson, Sammi Kinghorn, and Matt Baker as they work on their own farms during the height of lambing.
Each presenter has their own distinct approach. Sammi and her father manage a large indoor flock, prioritizing the breeding of healthy mothers. Matt, working alongside his mother, recently transitioned to a small flock of hardy, outdoor sheep. And Adam continues to refine his methods to improve the efficiency of his flock.
