For Sergeant Cath Raine, the case seems straightforward. An arrest so soon after the incident would normally suggest a quick resolution, but the scene itself is telling a different story.
The concrete road surface offers almost no forensic clues, a frustrating blank slate for the investigators. But a single, solitary mark found at the edge of the carriageway complicates the entire narrative. It suggests the collision may not have been as clear-cut as it first appeared.
