Crime Scene Kitchen Season 3 Finale airs Wednesday, December 5 on FOX

Crime Scene Kitchen

So, here we are, at the brink of another “Crime Scene Kitchen” finale. Three teams remain, poised to either snatch victory or crumble under the weight of a collapsing soufflé. They’ve sifted through clues, whipped up wonders, and dodged elimination, but now, in this two-bake extravaganza, they face the ultimate test: one last, elaborate dessert crime scene. A hundred grand is on the line. Will they rise to the occasion, or will their creations fall flat?

This season has been a masterclass in culinary deduction, a delightful blend of “CSI” and “The Great British Baking Show,” minus the soggy bottoms (mostly). We’ve witnessed bakers transform a few scattered crumbs and a lingering aroma into full-fledged desserts, demonstrating an almost Sherlockian level of observation. It’s been impressive, occasionally baffling, and always entertaining.

The final episode, however, throws a curveball. FOX teases a “game-changing surprise” hidden within the crime scene kitchen itself, adding another puzzle for these culinary detectives to solve. One can only speculate – a hidden ingredient? A sabotaged oven? A rogue team of squirrels with a penchant for pastry? The possibilities are as endless as the potential for disaster.

Of course, host Joel McHale is back to provide his signature brand of witty commentary, keeping things light even as the tension thickens. And judges Curtis Stone and Yolanda Gampp return to offer their expertise and discerning palates, ensuring that only the most deserving team claims the coveted prize. Let’s just hope they brought their magnifying glasses and a healthy dose of patience.

Crime Scene Kitchen airs Wednesday, December 5, at 9:01 PM ET/PT on FOX.
