Paramount+ has renewed the popular series Criminal Minds: Evolution for a third season, with production slated to commence later this year. This announcement comes just ahead of the Season 2 premiere, scheduled for release on June 6, 2024.
Season 2 of Criminal Minds: Evolution will consist of 10 episodes, with the first two episodes debuting on June 6, followed by weekly releases of new episodes on Thursdays. The season continues the narrative of the FBI’s elite team of profilers, focusing on their investigation into the deadly Gold Star mystery and the notorious serial killer, Elias Voit (portrayed by Zach Gilford), who negotiates his transfer to federal custody.
Criminal Minds: Evolution is a continuation of the original Criminal Minds series, which concluded in 2020 after an impressive 15-season run.
The spin-off series features returning cast members, including Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Ryan-James Hatanaka, and Paget Brewster. Additionally, the new season will introduce guest stars such as Felicity Huffman, Clark Gregg, and Liana Liberato.
