This Thursday, “The Cruise: Fun at Sea” runs into a few… logistical snags. It turns out keeping a massive cruise ship afloat and its passengers happy requires a lot more than sunshine and shuffleboard.
In this week’s episode, the smooth operation hits some choppy waters. Sommelier Carlo discovers that a beloved wine is out of stock, leaving him scrambling to find a palatable replacement for the thirsty cruisers. Meanwhile, in the bustling Galley food court, manager Sam faces a CO2 shortage, which means no fizzy drinks for the soda-loving passengers. One can only imagine the potential for onboard meltdowns.
While the crew grapples with these crises, retirees Bill and Pam embrace the cruise lifestyle with gusto. Bill, fresh off a somewhat challenging yoga session, decides to treat himself to his first-ever pedicure. One suspects this experience will provide ample comedic fodder. Meanwhile, sailors Tom and Nico hop off the ship in Ibiza, seeking a bit of tranquility away from the non-stop onboard activity. Ironically, Sailor services manager Dane is also in Ibiza, enjoying a whirlwind three-hour birthday celebration.
“The Cruise” continues to offer a behind-the-scenes look at the intricate workings of a cruise ship, where minor mishaps can quickly escalate into full-blown dramas. Tune in to Channel 5 this Thursday, April 3rd at 4:00 PM to see how these onboard crises are resolved.
