The Lagina brothers and their ever-optimistic team are back for another round of treasure hunting on The Curse of Oak Island. This week’s episode, “A Bead on the Target,” suggests they may be getting closer to cracking the centuries-old mystery, or at least, they’ve found some new things to get excited about.

The search for the elusive Money Pit continues, with the team focusing their efforts on the Chappell Vault, yet another purported location of the legendary treasure. But it’s the swamp, that perpetually muddy enigma, that seems to be yielding the most recent discoveries. New structures have been unearthed, and the episode description hints that these findings “strengthen a developing theory.” One wonders if this “developing theory” involves yet another coded message hidden within the grain of a centuries-old piece of wood, or perhaps a newly discovered connection to the Knights Templar.
