D.I. Ray Season 2 Premiere (PBS, Sunday, June 16, 2024)

DI Ray Season 2

In the season 2 premiere of ‘D.I. Ray’, titled “Wrong Place”, airing on PBS on Sunday June 16, DI Rachita Ray, played by Parminder Nagra, is thrust back into the world of homicide after a fatal drive-by shooting. The victim, a young nurse, is caught in the crossfire along with the head of a notorious crime family, Frank Chapman. This double murder ignites tensions across the city and threatens to escalate into a full-blown turf war.

Rachita, who was previously suspended from the force due to her fiancé’s links to organized crime, must now navigate sensitive ethnic issues and her own personal conflicts as a British Asian woman and police officer. She suspects that she has been chosen for this case due to her ethnicity rather than her ability, but she remains determined to find the killer.
