Dance Moms: Epic Showdowns sees Christi Lukasiak take the spotlight once again as she dissects some of the most chaotic pyramid fights and placements that caused drama and tension within the Abby Lee Dance Company. In this episode, airing on Lifetime on Wednesday May 1, Christi reflects on the battles between Jessalynn Siwa and Abby Lee Miller, Jill Vertes and Abby, and the infamous pyramid walkout.
Christi, known for her tell-it-like-it-is attitude, will undoubtedly bring her signature brand of honesty and humor to this episode. She has described herself as “funny, fiery, and eternally optimistic,” and her willingness to speak her mind has made her a fan favorite. Christi’s dynamic with her daughter, Chloe Lukasiak, has been a central focus of the show, and their relationship has had its challenges.
Christi and Chloe joined the show in Season 2, with Chloe winning an open audition for a spot on Abby’s team. However, their time on the show was not without difficulties. Chloe was often placed at the bottom of the pyramid, and Christi frequently clashed with Abby over her daughter’s treatment. In one instance, Christi was shocked to see Chloe placed at the bottom of the pyramid, expressing her disbelief.
Jill Vertes, another Dance Moms veteran, has also had a tumultuous relationship with Abby. Known for her bold fashion statements and her eagerness to dance in public, Jill joined the show in Season 2 after her daughter Kendall won an open audition. Jill quickly befriended Melissa Gisoni but clashed with the other moms, particularly Holly Hatcher-Frazier and Kelly Hyland. Jill was also known for her bribes to Abby and her own daughter, Kendall, as well as her bold fashion choices.
Jessalynn Siwa, mother of JoJo Siwa, joined the show in Season 5. Jessalynn, a former dance teacher and studio owner, brought her larger-than-life personality and her signature oversized bows to the show. While JoJo’s bright bows became a key part of her signature look, Jessalynn’s presence on the show was not without drama. She was known to clash with Abby, and there were even rumors of Jessalynn removing JoJo’s headshot from the pyramid during one particularly heated argument.
