Dark Comedy SisterS Renewed for Second Season on IFC, AMC+, Crave & RTÉ

SisterS

The transatlantic dark comedy SisterS, created by and starring real-life friends Sarah Goldberg (Barry) and Susan Stanley, has been officially renewed for a second season. Filming is currently underway in Canada for a planned 2026 premiere.

Here’s the Lowdown: Season two picks up eighteen months after the first season’s events. Suze (Stanley) is in Dublin, grappling with the discovery she can’t conceive biologically, while Sare (Goldberg) is in Canada, seemingly embracing a “perfect life” ahead of her wedding, though perhaps in denial. Suze travels to Canada for the wedding, hoping to reconnect, setting the stage for more sisterly drama. Donal Logue and Sophie Thompson return, alongside other cast members.

The series maintains its international co-production status between Peer Pressure (Ireland) and Shaftesbury (Canada), airing on IFC/AMC+ in the US, Crave in Canada, and RTÉ in Ireland.

The Bigger Picture: The renewal highlights the positive reception of the show’s blend of comedy and authentic emotional exploration. The series benefits from the genuine chemistry between its leads and writers, Goldberg and Stanley. With Fremantle handling global sales, the show continues to represent a successful international collaboration, bringing its unique comedic voice to audiences across multiple territories. The second season is set to premiere in 2026.
