The bright lights of Las Vegas cast a long shadow in this Sunday’s “Dateline NBC.” “Part of the Plan” takes us into the heart of a murder investigation involving a United States Air Force Airman, Nathan Paet, who was found shot inside his garage. What initially appears to be a random act of violence soon takes a more complicated turn as Las Vegas detectives uncover a trail of clues that leads them to a secret love affair and a carefully orchestrated plan.
Keith Morrison guides us through the case, revealing the details of the affair and the meticulous planning that went into the murder. “Part of the Plan” features interviews with Las Vegas Homicide Detectives Tod Williams and Laura Andersen, as well as members of Nathan’s family.
