On 6 April 2024, BBC One will air an episode of the celebrity edition of the popular quiz show, Pointless, with a lineup of familiar faces ready to put their trivia skills to the test.
Hosted by Alexander Armstrong, with assistance from Richard Osman, Pointless sees teams of two contestants searching for correct but obscure answers to general knowledge questions. The celebrity edition sees famous faces taking part in a bid to win cash for their chosen charities.
The Contestants
The episode features a diverse range of celebrities, including:
– Kate Holderness, an actress and vlogger known for her roles in “Emmerdale” and “Coronation Street”. She is also the partner of BBC Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts.
– Adele Roberts, a British broadcaster, TV personality, and DJ known for her work on BBC Radio 1. She has appeared on reality TV shows such as “Big Brother” and “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!>.
– Dave Gorman, a comedian and TV presenter known for his unique blend of comedy and technology.
– Jarred Christmas, a New Zealand-born comedian and actor who has appeared in various TV shows and films, including “A Touch of Cloth” and “Torvill & Dean”.
– Cat Sandion, a children’s TV presenter known for hosting “Blue Peter” and “Saturday Mash-Up!’.
– Martin Dougan, a Northern Irish broadcaster and journalist who has worked for BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Radio 5 Live.
– Matt Dawson, a former rugby union player and TV presenter who has appeared on shows such as “A Question of Sport” and “Celebrity MasterChef”.
In this episode, the celebrities will be quizzed on a range of topics, from pop culture to history, testing their knowledge and quick-thinking skills. With their wit and competitive spirit, they will battle it out for the coveted Pointless trophy.
The show’s format involves four teams of two contestants answering general knowledge questions, aiming to find the most obscure answers to score as few points as possible. The winning team is then eligible to compete for the show’s cash jackpot.
