Salem’s never short on drama, and Monday January 6 is no exception. Chanel Dupree DiMera unleashes her fury on Joy Wesley for her clandestine almost-affair with Johnny DiMera. The betrayal cuts deep, not just because of the near-infidelity, but because of the secrecy surrounding it. Salem, where everyone’s dirty laundry eventually gets aired, even if it’s just slightly soiled.
Elsewhere, Rafe Hernandez, still trapped in the DiMera tunnels (seriously, how long has he been down there?), attempts to negotiate his release with EJ DiMera. His offer? Silence about EJ’s role in his captivity. It’s a risky gambit, especially considering EJ’s track record of keeping promises is about as reliable as Salem’s weather forecasts. EJ, unsurprisingly, seems likely to reject the deal, probably muttering something about honor among villains.
Meanwhile, Belle Black, Salem’s newly minted district attorney, receives a warning from Marlena Evans. Marlena, always the voice of reason (except when possessed by the devil), cautions Belle about the perils of her new position and the dangers of getting entangled with EJ. But Belle, ever drawn to the DiMera darkness, seems destined to ignore this advice. Some people just can’t stay away from a bad boy, even if he keeps you locked in a basement.
“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on Peacock. Tune in on Monday, January 6, 2025 for the latest drama.
