Peacock’s “Days of Our Lives” is about to deliver a double dose of drama, splitting its focus between a hostage crisis in Vancouver and a jewelry heist mystery unfolding back in Salem.

In Vancouver, Cat’s worries about her captive mother, Catharina, reach a fever pitch. Chad steps up to provide emotional support, but the group’s precarious situation continues to deteriorate under Clyde’s thumb. Their forced sleepover takes an unexpected turn when JJ and Gabi share a moment of reconnection amid the tension, a brief respite before Clyde’s dangerous demands rear their ugly head once more. As the quartet strategizes their next move, Clyde’s menacing presence looms large, putting them all in grave danger.

Meanwhile, back in Salem, the stolen necklace saga takes a dramatic turn. Jennifer fills Julie in on the missing heirloom, leaving Julie understandably distraught. Doug III offers comfort, but Hope’s suspicions about him continue to mount. The seemingly innocent Doug III may soon find himself in Hope’s crosshairs as she contemplates setting a trap. Later, Jennifer meets with Steve and Jack, potentially comparing notes on both the Doug III situation and the escalating events in Vancouver.

Amid the suspense, “Days” also delivers a dose of heartwarming reunion. Hope returns to Salem, sharing an emotional moment with Steve, Kayla, and Roman. But even reunions can’t escape the drama, as the conversation inevitably turns to Doug III and Julie’s misplaced trust in him. Adding to the mix, Cat’s anxieties manifest in a nightmare about Clyde harming her mother, further intensifying the hostage storyline. As JJ and Gabi rejoin Chad and Cat, the group must face Clyde’s next set of instructions, knowing that one wrong move could have devastating consequences.

“Days of Our Lives” airs Tuesday on Peacock.
