Days of Our Lives Spoilers, Friday, January 10

So, another Friday, another round of Salem shenanigans. Friday’s “Days of Our Lives” finds Cat Greene starting therapy with Marlena Evans, presumably to unpack the emotional baggage that comes with orchestrating elaborate schemes to save your mother’s life. Because, you know, Salem. Elsewhere, Chad DiMera and Julie Williams offer each other a shoulder to cry on, with Chad reassuring Julie of his disinterest in Cat. But don’t get too comfortable, folks – a chance encounter between Cat and Chad suggests those embers might not be entirely extinguished.

Meanwhile, Holly Jonas urges Doug Williams III to come clean with Julie after covering for him. This act of unexpected decency could blow up Salem’s gossip mill faster than a rogue canister of Kristen’s toxin-of-the-month. And speaking of explosions, Philip Kiriakis and Stephanie Johnson are gearing up for a good old-fashioned confrontation. Given Philip and Xander Cook Kiriakis’s increasingly divergent views on running Titan, the fallout could reshape the corporate landscape of Salem (or, you know, just provide some mildly diverting boardroom drama).

In other corners of Salem, Sarah Horton Kiriakis offers Xander some legal advice (which he’ll undoubtedly ignore), and the clashing management styles of Philip and Xander at Titan might lead to an unlikely alliance. Holly’s good deed toward Doug could have serious repercussions, and Cat’s therapy session might shed more light on her motives and her mother’s mysterious predicament. Let’s just hope Marlena’s couch can handle the weight of all that Salem-sized baggage.
