In the second episode of this new run of Designing the Hebrides, Banjo and his team embark on a transformative journey to Harris in the Outer Hebrides. Their mission: to create a beautiful and functional apothecary for herbalist Amanda. With a vast space to fill, Banjo calls upon Chris to gather flowers that will be dried and used to enhance the atmosphere.

Amanda generously allows Banjo to explore her loft, providing him with the opportunity to discover unique objects that could be incorporated into the design. Local tradesmen from Harris also lend their skills to help divide the space using salvage materials that Banjo has brought along from the mainland.

The challenge lies in transforming the dull and empty room into a stunning apothecary that reflects Amanda’s botanical expertise. Will Banjo and his team succeed in bringing Amanda’s vision to life, or will the sheer magnitude of the project prove too daunting?
