In this third episode of the second season of Designing the Hebrides, Banjo is tasked with helping two small businesses that rely on honesty boxes to sell their unique produce. The first business he encounters is run by Jamie and Mary, a couple residing on the Isle of Mull.
While Jamie dedicates his time to lobster fishing, Mary juggles caring for their three children and operating a sandwich shop. Due to their busy lives, they opt to sell their goods through an honesty box when the shop is closed. Eager to attract more customers, they seek Banjo’s expertise in making their honesty box a memorable attraction.
Meanwhile, in South Uist, located in the Outer Hebrides, Donna divides her time between her day job as a carer and her side hustle crafting ice cream. Her current setup involves an unconventional honesty box—an old livestock trailer. Aspiring to captivate imaginations and inject more fun into her enterprise, Donna challenges Banjo to assist her in constructing something more creative.
Banjo embraces the mission to design honesty boxes that are not only functional but also stand out from the ordinary. Will his innovative concepts impress his clients and attract new visitors?
