From Canadian roadhouses to Italian asylums, Zak Bagans and his crew continue their quest to document the world’s most haunted hot spots.
This week’s Destinations of the Damned focuses on an asylum where a patient’s cryptic carvings allegedly predicted the moon landing. One can only imagine the level of interpretive gymnastics required to connect ancient graffiti with Neil Armstrong’s giant leap for mankind. Did the patient carve a detailed lunar module, or are we talking about a series of vaguely circular scratches that could just as easily represent a pizza?
After witnessing some spirit conjuring in a Canadian roadhouse (because where else would one encounter such things?), Bagans’ team heads to Italy to investigate the asylum. Will they uncover genuine paranormal activity, or will it be the usual combination of suggestive editing, ominous music, and jump scares?
Bagans’ narration will undoubtedly be filled with breathless pronouncements about the chilling energy of the location and the undeniable proof of the supernatural. Let’s just hope they don’t accidentally summon anything while trying to decipher the cryptic carvings.
Destinations of the Damned with Zak Bagans: The Asylum’s Prophet airs Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 11:01 pm on Discovery.
