The pop culture pairing of big screen entertainment and home-cooked treats makes its return this Saturday on TBS, as Dinner and a Movie kicks off its second season. Airing at 8:00 PM ET, the premiere episode features a screening of Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp, complete with commentary and culinary diversions.
Hosts Biggs and Mollen, who have over 15 years of marriage under their belts, are back to provide their signature banter and observations on the film. They’re also bringing in some reinforcement, with familiar faces from the Food Network making surprise appearances. Viewers can expect these culinary guests to share their cooking abilities and offer up tasty snacks throughout the evening.
The program aims for a lighthearted blend of movie talk, fun games, and, naturally, plenty of food. Ant-Man and the Wasp, from 2018, stands as the sequel to Ant-Man and the 20th entry in the sprawling Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film sees Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprise their roles as Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne, respectively, as they work to retrieve Janet van Dyne, played by Michelle Pfeiffer, from the Quantum Realm. It sets up as an easy night in, combining superheroics with casual conversation and good eats.
