The TARDIS is ready for another wild ride. Disney+ released a new trailer for the second season of Doctor Who, featuring more time-hopping adventures and hinting at a central mystery. The new season arrives on April 12.

Here’s the Lowdown: The trailer gives a look at the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and his new companion, Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu), as they travel through time and space. The adventures include a trip to the 51st century, the 803rd Interstellar Song Contest, and even a transformation into animated characters – a first for the series. Millie Gibson also returns as Ruby Sunday.

What This Means Now: Fans get a taste of the dangers and excitement awaiting the Doctor and Belinda. The trailer sets up a season-long quest: the Doctor’s mission to get Belinda back to Earth, hampered by a “mysterious force.”

The Bigger Picture: Season two features a strong cast, including previously announced guest stars such as Rose Ayling-Ellis, Alan Cumming, and Jemma Redgrave. Russell T Davies continues as showrunner, executive producer, and writer, leading a creative team that includes veteran Doctor Who producers. The eight-part season premieres on April 12 (12:00 a.m. PDT / 3:00 a.m. EDT) on Disney+ (where available) and on the BBC and BBC iPlayer in the UK, with new episodes dropping weekly.
