Doctor Who

Doctor Who is back on Friday May 10, with the exciting episode “Space Babies,” taking audiences on a journey through time and space with the Doctor and their companion, Ruby Sunday. This installment presents a unique twist: a baby farm unlike anything seen before, where the babies are in control. But there’s more than meets the eye, as a menacing presence looms.

The episode begins with Ruby uncovering the Doctor’s secrets as he transports her to a distant future. They come across a space station that houses this unusual baby farm. As they explore, they realize that these babies are not what they seem, and a dangerous and mysterious force is at play.

Writer Russell T. Davies, returning to the series, drew inspiration from the unique concept of a baby farm run by infants. In an interview with Doctor Who Magazine, Davies revealed that “Space Babies” goes beyond a simple sci-fi narrative, exploring Ruby’s personal journey and her true identity.

He shared, “‘Space Babies’ blends science fiction with mystery and suspense, but it’s also a personal story for Ruby, as she discovers her origins and true self, which is a theme we explore throughout this series.”

The episode stars Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday.

“Space Babies” also introduces a threatening bogeyman, a creature that feeds on fear and adds a layer of suspense to the story. This episode captures the classic Doctor Who blend of humor, danger, and the exploration of new worlds.
