Doctor Who continues its new season with the episode “The Devil’s Chord,” taking the Doctor and Ruby Sunday back in time to the swinging ’60s. In this installment, they encounter The Beatles and face a formidable foe in the form of the powerful Maestro, setting the stage for a unique musical battle.

Written by showrunner Russell T. Davies, this episode finds the Doctor and Ruby in a race to save humanity as London becomes a battleground. “The Devil’s Chord” promises a blend of music, fantasy, and suspense, with Maestro’s supernatural abilities presenting a challenge for the Doctor like no other.

The episode marks the return of Jinkx Monsoon as the antagonistic Maestro, an operatic and unhinged force. Monsoon’s performance is described as “malevolent and musically magnificent.” Additionally, viewers will see an appearance by The Beatles, with Paul McCartney portrayed by George Caple, John Lennon by Chris Mason, Ringo Starr by James Hoyles and George Harrison by Philip Davies.

Davies teased this episode sharing, “Episode two next year is a wild fantasy. We’re crafting scenarios that push the boundaries of what we’ve seen before.”
