“The Dog House Australia” returns this Wednesday as The Animal Welfare League NSW opens its doors once again, playing matchmaker between adorable dogs and hopeful families. This time, one family’s quest for a canine companion to keep their energetic sons occupied leads them to a German Shepherd named Commando. But is he more dog than they can handle?
Joe and Ashlea are hoping a four-legged friend can help burn off some of their two boys’ boundless energy. Commando, with his playful spirit and obvious intelligence, seems like a good fit. But there’s a lingering question: will this big, bouncy dog overwhelm the family? The decision hangs in the balance.
Meanwhile, retired couple Julie and Graham are looking for a dog to share their golden years with. They meet Chloe, an energetic Kelpie who’s ready to go, go, go. Will this spirited dog be the perfect addition to their lives, or will her exuberance prove to be too much?
