The smoky, seductive world of 1918 Soho comes alive again in “Dope Girls,” as the BBC One drama continues this Saturday. Episode four, “Behold the Stars,” finds Kate increasingly entangled in the dangerous affairs of the Saluccis, her involvement raising the stakes for everyone around her.
As Kate descends further into the Saluccis’ world, Billie and Evie find themselves seeking comfort elsewhere, their relationships strained by Kate’s choices. The pressure mounts on Violet as well, courtesy of Turner, whose actions threaten to upset the delicate balance of their partnership. And amidst the glitz and glamour of the club’s re-opening night, Violet stumbles upon a discovery that could change everything.
With only two episodes remaining in this first series, “Behold the Stars” looks to be a pivotal one. Secrets are bubbling to the surface, alliances are shifting, and the fight for survival in London’s gritty underworld intensifies. “Dope Girls” airs this Saturday, March 15th at 9:15 PM on BBC One.
