On Monday night’s episode of Dr. Phil Primetime, the TV doctor sits down with three young men who share their disturbing accounts of being sexually abused by their female teachers.
Michael and Justin detail their experiences of being targeted and groomed when they were just 17 and 16 years old, respectively, by a 25-year-old teacher. They allege that what started as homework help quickly escalated to off-campus encounters involving drugs and alcohol, leading to sexual assault.
Another victim, Mason, recounts his traumatic experience of being sexually assaulted at the age of 11 by his married teacher, who was 35.
The young men are joined by their attorneys, Zach Runyan and Jon Marko, who express outrage at the actions of the teachers and point fingers at social media and the schools for failing to address the grooming that took place behind closed doors.
The episode also features defense attorney Christy Jack, who has represented numerous teachers accused of sexual assault against students. Christy shares her insights into why these teachers cross boundaries, and one of her former clients, a teacher convicted of an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old student, speaks about her actions.
Dr Phil Primetime: Female Teachers Turned Classroom Predators airs Monday, September 16, 2024, at 8:00 PM on Merit Street Media.
