Eight years after hanging up their hunting waders (sort of), the Robertsons are officially back in the reality TV game. Duck Dynasty: The Revival premieres Sunday June 1 at 9 PM ET on A&E, picking up with Willie and Korie Robertson in a very different chapter of their lives. A lot can change in eight years: their kids are grown, they’re grandparents, and the family business has expanded beyond the duck call. That said, even their grandkids are already showing signs of having the Robertson “tude” about them, and Willie’s retirement could shake things up for Duck Commander.
In the first episode, aptly titled The Robertsons Are Back, we get a full download on what’s changed in the Robertson world since the original series wrapped. Willie, faced with a looming retirement from Duck Commander, launches a quest to find the next leader—and as anyone who’s seen five minutes of Duck Dynasty knows, that search won’t be quiet, efficient, or drama-free.
