EastEnders is reintroducing a familiar character to Walford as Louisa Lytton reprises her role as Ruby Allen. The character will return to the long-running soap opera later this year.

Ruby Allen was last seen in November 2021, when she left Walford amid suspicion, having claimed to be pregnant with Martin Fowler’s child. However, Martin, played by James Bye, was sceptical, as Ruby had previously lied, resulting in Stacey Slater’s false imprisonment.

The circumstances of Ruby’s departure left many questions unanswered, particularly regarding the truth of her pregnancy. Her return is anticipated to create new challenges for Martin and Stacey, played by Lacey Turner, who believed their involvement with Ruby was over.

The actress has already started filming her scenes, which will air later this year.
