Eddington: Ari Aster’s Star-Studded Western Sets HBO Max Premiere Date

The latest film from writer-director Ari Aster will premiere on HBO Max on Friday, November 14. Titled Eddington, the A24 production features a high-profile cast that includes Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone, and Austin Butler. The film will also have its linear television debut on HBO on Saturday, November 15 at 8:00 PM ET.

The film is a neo-western set in May of 2020. The plot centers on a standoff between a small-town sheriff and a mayor in Eddington, New Mexico, that creates a powder keg of conflict among the town’s residents.

In addition to the four leads, the cast also includes Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, and Clifton Collins Jr. Aster, known for the films Hereditary and Midsommar, also produced the project alongside Lars Knudsen.
