Elkhorn is back with a new episode, continuing the story of Theodore Roosevelt’s transformative journey in the Dakota Badlands..

In this episode, “The Frenchman,” airing on INSP on Thursday April 18, viewers will witness the challenges faced by Roosevelt as he establishes his Elkhorn Ranch. Roosevelt’s newly built ranch is threatened by a powerful neighbor, the Marquis de Morés, who attempts an underhanded land grab. Roosevelt must confront the Marquis and his beguiling wife, Medora, to protect his ranch.

The episode explores the real-life struggles of Roosevelt, a young man reeling from unimaginable loss. After the tragic death of his wife and mother on the same day, Roosevelt abandons his comfortable life in New York, including his political career, and heads west. In the lawless Dakota Badlands, he establishes the Elkhorn Ranch, attempting to remake himself into a cattleman.
