Elkhorn, the INSP original series, returns with “The Stranglers,” offering viewers a glimpse into the life of Theodore Roosevelt, the iconic 26th President of the United States.

In this episode, airing on Thursday May 2, Roosevelt, played by Mason Beals, joins a posse of vigilantes after some of his new horses are stolen. The young Roosevelt, still reeling from the tragic deaths of his wife and mother, finds himself on a quest for justice. However, he learns a valuable lesson as the line between right and wrong blurs in the Wild West.

Jeff DuJardin portrays Marquis de Morès, a powerful figure in Roosevelt’s story. The episode looks at Roosevelt’s transformation from a grieving widower to the legendary “Cowboy President.” Roosevelt’s journey of self-discovery and resilience in the face of adversity sets the tone for the series.

Elkhorn chronicles Roosevelt’s defining years as a cowboy in the Badlands of the Dakota Territory during the 1880s. The series focuses on his struggles and triumphs as he establishes his ranch, battles outlaws, and hunts grizzly bears.
