Elsbeth Tascioni, the eccentric legal savant whose mind works in ways most of us can’t comprehend, is back on CBS this Thursday, and she’s taking on a case that reaches back decades. “I Know What You Did Thirty-Three Summers Ago” sees Elsbeth facing off against a familiar foe – Judge Milton Crawford, played with chilling composure by Michael Emerson.

Crawford is on the cusp of a major career advancement, about to become a federal judge. But Elsbeth believes he’s hiding a dark secret, a murder committed over three decades ago. With her unconventional methods and unyielding determination, she sets out to prove Crawford’s guilt, a pursuit that quickly puts her – and those close to her – in considerable danger.

As Elsbeth digs deeper into the past, the stakes get higher. Will she uncover the truth before Crawford ascends to a position of even greater power? Or will her relentless pursuit of justice backfire? The episode, written by Matthew K. Begbie and Eric Randall and directed by Joe Menendez, also features Teddy contemplating a career path that echoes his mother’s.
