Documentary series Emergency returns to More4 for its third season, offering an insightful look at London’s network of frontline trauma hospitals and the life-saving work they perform. Over four nights, the series will show the minute-by-minute decisions made by trauma teams as they treat critically injured patients across the capital.
In the season premiere, viewers will witness the stories of several individuals receiving treatment for serious injuries. These include 54-year-old João, who suffered a severe crush injury to his leg in a collision with a bus and is now fighting to save his leg at King’s College Hospital.
Meanwhile, 33-year-old accountant Jeymi is rushed to St Mary’s Major Trauma Centre after being involved in a taxi crash, and 38-year-old paratrooper Lance Corporal Lee arrives at the Royal London with life-threatening injuries sustained in a paragliding accident. Lee requires high-risk surgery to address his compacted spine and pelvis, with the hope of regaining sensation in his legs.
Lastly, 15-year-old Louie is at St Mary’s after a disagreement at school led to him severely injuring his leg, resulting in an arterial bleed and emergency surgery.
Emergency Season 3 Premiere airs Monday 12 August 2024 at 9:00 pm on More4.
