Emmy Award-winning choreographer Julianne Hough and Utkarsh Ambudkar, known for his role in CBS’s Ghosts, will be hosting The Tony Awards: Act One, a live pre-show airing on Paramount’s free streaming service Pluto TV. The special will include exclusive content and the presentation of the first round of Tony Awards.
The pre-show will air live on Sunday, June 16, 2024, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. ET (3:30-5:00 p.m. PT) on Pluto TV.
Immediately following the pre-show, the main event, hosted by Ariana DeBose, will take place at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. The ceremony will air live from 8:00-11:00 p.m. ET (5:00-8:00 p.m. PT) on CBS and stream on Paramount+ in the US.
The nominees for the 77th Annual Tony Awards were announced on April 30, 2024, with a total of 36 shows in contention. While the full list of presenters has not yet been revealed, the event promises to be a star-studded celebration of the best of Broadway.
The 2024 Tony Awards marks the first time the ceremony will be held at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater, a renowned performing arts venue designed by architect Philip Johnson.
