The Equalizer: Dirty Sexy Money (CBS, Sunday, March 2, 2025)

The Equalizer Key Art

Robyn McCall, everyone’s favorite equalizer, returns to CBS this Sunday, and if the title “Dirty Sexy Money” is any indication, things are about to get messy. McCall finds herself entangled with a local family grappling with a devastating loss after a suspicious fire wipes out their life savings. It’s a classic Equalizer setup: the little guy against a system rigged against them, and McCall, ever the champion of the underdog, steps into the fray.

But while McCall tackles street-level injustice, Mel faces a different kind of battle – a deeply personal one. This week, she decides to open up to her parents about her struggles with PTSD. How her parents react, and whether it brings Mel any sense of peace, are questions that will likely hang over the episode.

“Dirty Sexy Money” is penned by Barry O’Brien and directed by Chris Fisher, a pairing that suggests a balance of taut action and character-driven moments.

It will be interesting to see how McCall balances her latest case with the emotional weight of Mel’s personal struggles. Will she be able to maintain her laser focus while a friend confronts their inner demons? Or will this episode force her to confront some uncomfortable truths of her own?
